Is the foam going to flatten out in a month?
No, and there's a mechanical reason. Cheap clogs are a flat foam tub — the sidewall has nothing holding it, so it folds outward and the footbed drops. CloudStep™ runs a continuous rib structure around the entire shell, so the wall carries the load instead of the foam alone. The closed-cell compound rebounds instead of packing down. Tested past 90 days of daily wear.
Will the strap or the clip snap?
The strap is woven nylon webbing with a pinch-release clip — the same hardware family as a pack sternum strap. It is not a molded plastic pin, which is the exact part that fails on nearly every cheap clog. The heel pivot is reinforced at both anchor points. If a strap or clip ever fails, we replace the pair.
Do they make your feet sweat and smell?
That's the number one complaint about foam footwear, which is why the vent count matters. 42 ports — micro-perforations across the vamp plus long slot vents down both sidewalls — means air moves through the shoe while you walk. The shell is non-absorbent, so nothing soaks in the way a fabric liner does. If they do get funky, rinse them under a cold tap.
Can I get them wet? Beach, shower, hose?
All three. Closed-cell EVA doesn't absorb water, and there are no laces, liners, or glued seams to trap moisture. Wear them in the sea, on a boat, in a wet-room shower, or hosing down the drive. Cold rinse, air dry. Keep them off a hot dashboard and out of tumble dryers — heat is the only thing that warps foam.
What size do I order? I'm between sizes.
Order true to size. The mold runs a roomy toe box on purpose, so you don't need to size up for width. If you're a half size, round up. If you'll wear thick socks daily, round up. Dead-on a whole size and wearing them bare? Stay exactly where you are.
